As Purchasing Agreement Manager you will be part of a team working at both an operational and strategic level. You will also will be working closely with our suppliers and our project teams. Purchasing is one of NCC top priorities and a critical function to secure competitiveness in the overall business. Purchasing also supports the complexity of the construction process for our customers.

The role as Purchasing Agreement Manager
You will be part of a Nordic team and work closely together with colleagues in purchasing and in the production on identifying business improvement within various building materials. 

As a Purchasing Agreement Manager you are responsible for a number of agreements, and your responsibilities include among other things:

  • Supporting our Business Area Infrastructure in getting impact and results when it comes to supplier management, implementation of agreements and measure effect continuously in daily operations
  • Together with our other Business Areas; develop, implement, manage and follow up the agreements
  • Work closely together with the tender teams on prioritized projects
  • Making analyzes to understand the cost drivers in the value chain and therefore be able to perform more professional purchasing
  • Being updated about the market situation in terms of price, various construction methods and new materials
  • Develop and follow up on the quality of existing suppliers, search and validate the quality of new suppliers, and build supplier relations. You will make, develop, and sign frame agreements, monitor, and develop suppliers in a sustainable perspective
  • You are continuously working to ensure that the agreements within your area supports our construction projects

Your profile 
You have at least 5 years experience from the construction industry, material suppliers or related business. Previous experience as Purchaser or product/service buyer can be an advantage. However this can be a next step in your development of previous experience, where you might have been a construction engineer or project manager in the above mentioned area.

You must enjoy purchasing and creating business effect, leading cross functional teams but also have the ability to work independently with great commitment. The work requires good interpersonal skills, and you easily build good business relationships both internally and externally. Furthermore, you are goal-oriented, analytical, and structured and you have extensive experience with use and understanding of IT- tools and programs. You have a positive mindset and can identify with our NCC values of honesty, trust, and respect. We require that your are fluent in Norwegian and English language, both written and orally.

Additional information
Location is at our NCC Head Office in Oslo. This role will require some travelling within Norway and the projects and the other Nordic countries, although we do apply a flexible way of working and strive to collaborate digitally as much as possible. In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct a background check through Semac on the final candidate for this position.
